Watch the video.
Use at least THREE storyboard sheets(18 frames total)to make your own storyboards of the story. You can use more if you need to.
Remember you need to choose the main points in the story. When does the point of view change? When do new characters come in? What are the important plot changes?
Rough drawings are ok, but make sure people can tell whats going on. Use the text field below the box to describe what is going on.
If you need to print more storyboard sheets, there is a document in the pickup box named 'storyboards' you can print your own.
If you want to see how the Simpson's artists storyboard, you can read the document in the pickup box named 'simpsonsway.pdf' it has many examples of what Simpsons storyboards look like

Follow along with the tutorial and create your own text mask in Photoshop. Use whatever background image you want that will work with your text.

Work on the pawn tutorial you started yesterday. Remember it is in the 'week 1' folder in the pick up box. Named 'week01day05'.
IMPORTANT!!!!! SKIP steps 12 & 13 that deal with the taper constrain tool. DO NOT DO these steps...the directions are bad.
WATCH your units and make sure you are entering in the exact numeric values.
IF you get done with the pawn, I will give you extra credit if you can model another chess piece. Or you can model an everyday object in lightwave.
Digital Photography 2( 3rd and 4th Period)

In your journal, tell me what you think of the photo...do you like it? why or why not? What do you think the photographer is trying to say or convey with this image?
PHOTOSHOP TUTORIAL - make your hippaguana. Remember, you should have moved the 'morphcreature' folder to you F: drive yesterday. Once the folder is in the F: drive, open it and double click on morph1.html. REMEMBER that you need to click on the yellow error bar at the top of your browser and choose 'allow blocked content' to get the tutorial to work. it should run without any problems. If you have problems, ask your neighbor for help.
IF you did not bring headphones, ask Mr. Snyder for an extra pair.
IF you get done with the tutorial, turn in the JPG as p#lastnamemorp
GO through all the steps, do the tutorial yourself...this is excellent practice.

Warm Up 2 - New Assignment - Look at Arnold Newman's work
Read the following
Arnold Abner Newman was an American photographer noted for his "environmental portraits" of famous politicians and artists. As a child, he studied art and painting. After high school, he attended the University of Miami at Coral Gables. But after a couple of years, he was forced to leave school for financial reasons. He moved to Philadelphia and went to work in a portrait studio, where he learned photographic techniques by turning out 49-cent portraits by the hundreds. In 1945, he moved to new York and did freelance photojournalism for Life, Look, Newsweek, The New Yorker, Esquire, Fortune and others. Newman has photographed many actors, politicians, artists, and other famous people, such as John F. Kennedy, Harry S. Truman, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso, and Arthur Miller, Marilyn Monroe, Ronald Reagan and Mickey Mantle. However, he has said that even if the subject is not known, or is already forgotten, the photograph itself should still excite the viewer. Newman's portrait of Igor Stravinsky seated at a grand piano became his signature image. "Photography, as we all know, is not real at all. It is an illusion of reality with which we create our own private world."
